I'm giving up

Did I ever begin?

Maybe

But you never did

So I'm giving up

Human aspiration says

Did you try hard enough?

maybe not

So I'm giving up

Expecting for walls to talk back

They never will

So I'm giving up

hanging my clothes out in the rain to dry

that's absurd

So I'm giving up

dreaming that dream

coz its just a dream

so the world may say

Carry that torch love

but didn't I just say

I'm giving up
